THE CHOICE versus MAN THINKING

I had my writing voices screaming at me this morning to write this.

The BIG BOOGIE MAN (noted I said man NOT woman) is coming up before the Supreme Court. ABORTION.

And I can imagine the following.

I have NEVER been a woman. Not going to happen in this lifetime.

But I say this. Has anybody stopped and asked women, what do you want? Has anybody ever proposed a national referendum on the matter of abortion or not?

BUT NOooo. We are going to a court that sits six men and three women. It is amazing to me how men decide what happens to a woman body. A supposedly men led body is going to equate “justice” for women.

Let me see; and help me out here.

Loose interpretation of what a woman or man (and now other rights are under our constitution.

What does the pursuit of happiness mean in the Constitution?

“The pursuit of happiness is defined as a fundamental right mentioned in the Declaration of Independence to freely pursue joy and live life in a way that makes you happy, as long as you don’t do anything illegal or violate the rights of others.”

We here in this country yell we are all about Choice and Freedom in this country.

We fly the red, white and blue to everything. Our cars, boats houses, etc.

You know…” Don't tread on me...etc. and such.

We have so many choices such as what type of these things we want. For example, whole milk or 2%, gluten, non-GMO, brown rice, white rice, dairy, non-dairy…you get the picture I hope

What if a woman doesn't want the government telling her what she can and cannot do with her body? What law would she be breaking? GOD’s Law...???

Will then it seems to me that would be a matter between her and her creator; wouldn’t it?

Our constitution says it is a fundamental right to freely pursue joy and live life in a way that makes you happy

So, doesn't a woman have a choice to the pursuit of happiness”? Live in a way that make her happy. NOT REALLY, I would guess here in the good ole USA.

‘Women’s suffrage is the right of women to vote in elections. Beginning in the mid-19th century, aside from the work being done by women for broad-based economic and political equality and for social reforms, women sought to change voting laws to allow them to vote. National and international organizations formed to coordinate efforts towards that objective, especially the International Woman Suffrage Alliance, as well as for equal civil rights for women.’’

NOPE. It's a mirage.

CHOICE.

We keep having men telling women what they can or cannot do with their bodies. Let's keep it simple. Example time.

Man sees woman, woman sees man. Man has semen to fertilize eggs of a woman. They decide (choice) to have sex. But woman decides (choice) she no longer wants to have sex with said man. She still has a choice according to the law to say no, even in the midst of originally agreeing to have sex. The ability to change her mind. The ability to choose. Not the man. If he forces her then we now say that is rape.

Do we say RAPE is against the law…? don’t we? Oh, I just asking for a friend.

But this court will most likely say, eh, you got to keep this child (No choice)

Let's look a little further here. More examples of who decides things in this country of alleged “GOD “fearing men”. Not women.

Whose picture are on the very bills and most coins in your pocket. Picture of some man. Has there ever been a woman president. Nope. All men. When a woman is beaten by a man, and she ask for a protective order; she most likely has to go before a male judge to get one. And most time when it is a male sitting on the court it is not granted

Women are the victims here. Do they not have rights of choice and equally protection under the law?

Are you then saying it is the woman fault or burden and responsibility to raise an unwanted child? Will the court hold the man responsible equally AND FIANCIALY for this child? Has not been done yet in the matter of rape or incest. The burden again falls on the woman.

A lot of the counter argument is “religion based or application” Also it so often turns into a morality question.

Well, I have a question, if the morality question is about the sanctity of life. Then why is the right to bear arms is a right and a protected one?

Folk kill people every day, every minute and second. If we “really” wanted to protect the innocent, would we not want to take the guns away from ordinary people and just allow the law enforcement to have them.

But no, most would say it was a personal choice to do evil with that right, good or bad, or that there are consequences for that choice of action. So, are you saying a woman can’t make choices?

It’s her body and the consequences if that choice is with her maker not with man.

We are protecting the baby argument. It's like what came first the chicken or the egg. When does life begin? Some would argue, life begins when the semen/sperm meets the egg, other would argue, when we detect a heartbeat. Very good points I would agree.

So, what if the carrier of the semen/sperm take away my female rights by forcibly filling me with this life. What then?

So, we then must either to agree or disagree that the eggs a female carries itself is not considered a life by itself….or that semen alone that carries the sperm is not a life. Really?

Do, we all have the right to correct a wrong if we so choose?

Of course, I do. We all do.

For example, you bought the wrong shoes or dress. You picked the wrong size, or the color doesn't go well with your eyes or hair. You get to take them back and get a full refund or store credit. A do over. People make wrong choices all the time; why, it's because we are human and have human frailties. So, choice exist

Who wrote the “Bible’ ?…inspired and God-fearing MEN. ohh ok

HIStory …there he goes again. Who interpreted the Bible??darn it…those pesky men again.

Why is the picture of Jesus a man and who in the heck said he was a white man with flowing white like hair anyways? Oh, it was the inspired MEN who said.

Adam and Eve….it was that darn Eve who “tricked” Adam and got them kicked out of the garden. Who said…those pesky men.

Who sits in Congress in the majority ….darn it…those pesky men again.

Who run the majority of Fortune 500 companies….men….yep.

So, in conclusion.

Does a woman have the right to say what happens to her body? Yes.

Does a woman have the right to choose? Yes

Do we have the right to be happy? Yes

Do we have the choice to marry? Yes.

Divorce? Yes

To remain single. Yes.

And in conclusion. A man is writing this. Soooo Go Figure.
